What is an air scrubber? How does it work?
Most of us think that we are protected from air pollution if we are inside the house. But sadly, that is
not true. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), indoor environments are around 2-5
times as polluted as the air outdoors.
When the temperatures drop and we spend more time indoors and the quality of our indoor air
becomes more important to our health and well-being. If you have a forced air system in your home,
there are many different modifications you can make to your existing HVAC system to improve the
quality of the air you breathe.
What is air scrubber?
Air scrubber is a portable filtration system that removes particles, gasses, and/or chemicals from the air
within a given area. These machines draw air in from the surrounding environment and pass it through a
series of filters to remove contaminants.
How does it work?
Air Scrubbers are used by mold remediation specialists, renovation companies, and other job sites to
help improve the surrounding air quality. It doesn’t just treat the air but it also helps to clean the
surfaces of your home, such as countertops, bathrooms, kitchens, and doorknobs.
Air filters can trap pollutants, but only air purification systems such as Air Scrubbers actually kill the
contaminants and pathogens in your home.
