WHAT TO DO DURING LOCKDOWN/QUARANTINE?
Due to global pandemic, many of us are forced to stay at home. This is to lessen the spread of coronavirus. Schools and other workplaces began to close down. Remaining inside is a good way to protect ourselves from the virus but it could also lead to a boredom and stir craziness.
Here are tips to help make your time quarantined interesting and even productive.
- Keep Learning
Having classes cancelled doesn’t mean we should stop from learning. There are thousands of great resources online in all possible fields to keep us busy. There are online courses available no matter what our interest is. Now is the perfect opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain new skills.
- Declutter and donate
Staying at home gives us more time to carefully look around to our belongings. Identify clothes and other things that are rarely used and clean up some space. There are people to have them for sure. Sort them and donate.
- Family time
Not all of us are fortunate to be always with their families. You can use the internet to connect with your loved ones when we are not with them. Staying at home is a great opportunity to catch up with family members and get some closure.
- Cook
A lot of us often turn to takeaway food due to a busy lifestyle of lack of time for cooking. Now, it’s the right time to learn to cook and spoil ourselves with homemade dishes.
- Keep moving
Life in the time of coronavirus can be scary and stressful, whether you are in quarantine or not. To fight the boredom, it’s time to turn ourselves to the mood-boosting power of dance. Dancing helps us fight toxic feelings of fear, anxiety and paranoia.
- Reflect
Having time for ourselves is a great opportunity to reflect on our personalities, identify our strengths and weaknesses to work with.
This time of crisis reminds us that we should unite, cooperate and be compassionate above anything else to solve the problem easily. Helping each other should be our priority in this kind of situation.
