THE FOUR PRINCIPLES OF DRYING
When a water loss occurs, specific steps are taken during mitigation process. This is to ensure the affected space is completely dry. Every step completes another phase of the extraction process.
- Water extraction
This is the water removal phase. Removing water in its state is at least 500 times more efficient than skipping this step. Being a flood victim is never a good thing, whether it happens via storm, broken pipe, sewage back up or shower that has been clogged. Your home must undergo a water extraction process as soon as possible, because the longer water remains, even more problems can arise.
- Airflow
This is the evaporation phase. After removing as much water as possible in its liquid state, the remaining moisture is evaporated with high velocity air movers.
- Dehumidification
This is the balanced phase. As moisture is dried out, it evaporates and becomes water vapor in the air. Without dehumidifier to remove moisture from the air, it could delay the drying process and cause mold growth.
- Temperature Control
This is also called the temperature maintenance phase. Our professionals will use room measurement, temperature and relative humidity to carefully monitor the progress.
